ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Education is a critical step in the process of escaping the poverty cycle. Elementary education requires books, supplies and educational toys. Your donation will help keep the classroom set up and ready to start laying the foundation to escape the poverty cycle.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Graduating from a university is an important final step to break the poverty cycle. If one child graduates and lands a good job, this can open the door for their siblings and provide support for the entire family.  Tuition for a year in the regular scholarship program is US$600 per student, or US$950 per student in the premium scholarship program, which includes a small monthly allowance and is awarded to very poor students.  Kyle's Kidz currently has 34 students attending college on a full scholarship- 22 in the regular program, 10 in the premium program, one in trade school and one student pursuing her master's degree as a Lawyer. Four more students will graduate this year, increasing the total graduates through the program to five.

A NEW HOME

Kyle's Kidz built a new home in Takeo Province, Cambodia, for a widowed single mother with two older daughters.  Their rickety, dilapidated and unsecure home on stilts, was removed and a new concrete home was constructed. Their donated home was completed in April 2024.  Visit the Photo Gallery page for progress photos or watch the video on YouTube-

HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION

High school is an important step to prepare for college. Although there is no tuition for high school, the cost for books, a backpack and five or six uniforms for the year is about US$200.  You can provide a student with a bicycle for transportation for an additional US$75.

FRESH WATER WELLS

Kyle's Kidz has partnered with Aqua Share, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization, to drill more than 280 fresh clean water wells for families and small communities in Cambodia. The cost for a water well is US$575, US$300 for one-half of a well or US$200 for one-third of a well. Smaller donations will be combined for a group well. Whether you make a donation that enables the drilling of several wells or a portion of a single well, every amount helps these families and is greatly appreciated.
