Honoring Kyle Eickholt

Kyle Eickholt was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a magnetic personality, was outgoing and loved people.  He valued family time and friendships and made an effort to stay connected. He always reached out to people with a smile on his face and often a gift in his hand. Kyle loved adventure, traveling and trying new things. He enjoyed good-natured, spirited competition. He was great with children and liked playing and wrestling with them.

Kyle graduated from Clifton High School in Clifton, Texas, in 2010 with honors and varsity letters in baseball and golf. Then he enlisted in the U.S. Army and traveled to Fort Benning, Georgia, for basic training. He graduated from Airborne training and completed most of the intense Ranger program before becoming injured and returning to Airborne.  Kyle was assigned to the U.S. Army’s 501st Infantry Airborne, at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, and was deployed to Afghanistan where he bravely served for most of 2012.  He was honorably discharged from the Army in 2014 and returned to Texas to attend Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.  In 2015 Kyle began working for Buddy's Home Furnishings, Abilene, and later as a store general manager for the company in Athens, Texas.  Kyle joined Forward Diesel Repair, a company co-owned by his father, Harold Eickholt Jr., Kyle's Kidz Founder, and his brother, Paul, in Richland Hills, Texas, in 2019 as operations manager.

Kyle looked forward to traveling with his father to help bring fresh clean water and educational opportunities to the Cambodian people.

He is greatly missed every day.
